Jessica Pociask has led more than 100 expeditions in almost 80 countries and still loves finding new corners of the world to explore. She is a wildlife expert, travel writer, nature photographer and expedition leader. She has guided for the Wildlife Conservation Society and holds a research position in the Entomology department in the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. She holds a B.S in Natural Resource Management from Michigan State University, and is currently working to complete a Masters of Science from Johns Hopkins University.

Jessica has already accomplished more in business and sustainable tourism than most people dream about – she is definitely a “40 under 40” to watch. As a dedicated conservationist, she has worked extensively with The Nature Conservancy as a crew chief leader on wetland and fen restoration projects in Michigan. Jessica also stood on the board of Utopia Foundation, a Traverse City based organization. In winter of 2006, she completed a study in Antarctica on climate change and shortly thereafter, she was one of 50 women chosen from the US and Mexico by the National Wildlife Federation to participate in the ‘Women’s Leadership and International Sustainable Development’ conference in Washington D.C.
